We're dedicated to helping every heart in crisis, so please help the British Heart Foundation raise as much money as possible during Help a Heart Week 2005, which runs from 4-12 June 2005.
There are many different ways you can do this, but here are just a couple of inspiring stories from last year's Heart Week...
Inspectors Steve Wilson and Richard Hargreaves of Derbyshire Police set themselves the challenge of walking 190 miles from coast to coast, and raised £1,909 to help the BHF's fightback against heart disease.
It was the first time they'd ever done anything like it, but they wanted an exercise-based challenge that would put them to the test and raise money for charity. Their fundraising event certainly covered both areas.
Meanwhile, in another part of the county, staff members at Equidebt also rose to the challenge, and 17 of them hiked the equivalent of climbing Ben Nevis in Ilmington, Warwickshire. Their walking efforts raised £3,452 towards the BHF's Heart Week campaign.
These are just a couple of fantastic fundraising stories out of many from last year's Heart Week.

Support Help a Heart Week and find out about this year’s theme - women and heart disease.
One in three women who die this week will be killed by heart and circulatory disease - they may be wives, mums, sisters and daughters. But heart disease doesn't have to be fatal.
